-Entry for English class - January 2012
January was just another month for me, other than the end of my school holidays. The new years celebration was the same as every other year, spent in The Curve because my parents had to work. There were a lot of people in the mall so it was really busy. The fireworks were spectacular though, but trying to watch the display was difficult because there wasn't a lot of space and everyone was shoving here and there.
Getting back to school wasn't very exciting either, just meeting up with friends and telling stories to pass the time, realizing that during the holidays i didn't write much so when i came back to school, my words looked like squiggly lines and holding a pen became awkward for me, so yeah, nothing new there.
Then before I knew it, the Chinese New Year holidays were here. My parents decided to close the shop for two days s we could visit my grandparents. On the first day, we went back t Klang to visit the relatives on my mother's side, there was so much of food and quite a number of relatives, some i couldn't speak to because of my inability to speak Cantonese. The next day, we flew to Kelantan to visit my father's side of the family, it was so, so hot there and there was a lot of people, I got to see most of my relatives again, but as always, language barriers stopped me from speaking to most of them other than a few broken sentences in Hokkien, but we were rushing because we had to catch the flight back home that very night, the trip was very tiring and I collapsed on my bed the moment I got home.
Well, that about sums up my January...time for February!
Did you realise that I said the same thing about why I'd prefer your class to write their essays? Your fingers really WILL cramp up when you try to after not writing for some time and writing essays really means writing a lot of words!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I guess you're right xD
